Six Signs of Good Health
One of the most common questions patients are concerned
about: "When will I finish the course of treatment?
Or how long will I carry on the treatment?" The practitioner
of acupuncture often fails to reply it; the answer lies
with patients themselves.
The goal of an acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatment
is not only to relieve your symptoms, but help you to restore
the balance of energy flow and thus good health. When the
six signs of good health appear, our mission is accomplished
and your treatment is finished. Watch out for them:
1. Sleep well: Sleep all night through and feeling refreshed
when you wake up in the morning.
2. Eat well: A good appetite at meal times and satisfied
with a regular amount of food. Poor appetite, bloating after
meals and craving of sweet and sugar are the warning of
a sluggish digestive energy.
3. Have a bowel movement the first thing in the morning
and the bowel should feel emptied thoroughly when the job
is done.
4. Good urination. The first urine in the morning should
be a large quantity, light yellow colour. Urinate 5-6 times
throughout the day by drinking an average amount of water.
There a good force for passing urine.
5. Hands and feet are naturally warm; face and body are
generally cool, no matter whether you live in Dubai or Alaska.
Cold or clammy hands and feet, or uncomfortable warmth of
the body and face means unbalanced energy flow and poor
circulation.
6. Yang sign, probably the least discussed topics in public,
indicates abundant energy flow in the body. For men, often
called the "morning glory", is a natural erection
at waking up. For women, more tenderness of the nipple of
women should be noticed in the morning.
